How Retrofit (wire) Angel Eyes & Morimoto Mini H1 on E9x E90 E91 E92 E93 Pre-LCI Halogen Headlights

Here is a guide on how to retrofit (wire) Angel Eyes & a Morimoto Mini H1 projector on the Pre-Lci Halogen Headlights.

NOTE: I cut the headlights open and sealed with silicon. The Permaseal on the E90 takes way too long to remove. In addition I JB-welded the angel eyes on.

NOTE: E90 and E91 Headlights are the same and E92 and E93 Headlights are the same. (Obviously LCI to LCI and Pre-LCI to Pre-LCI). Apparently E92 and E93 headlights of some years have sealant which can be baked to soften and remove the lens.

Supplies Needed:

  • Morimoto Mini H1 Projector or Similar
  • Led Angel Eyes (90 MM Inside and 110 MM Outside)
  • Wire Taps (14 to 18 Gauge)
  • Wire Strippers or Similar

Step 1. Tap the wire on the side of the low beam H7 bulb connector for positive (In my case the side the letters printed on it) and tap the other side for the ground/negative.

NOTE: Halogen bulbs have no polarity. Meaning that wiring positive and negative isn't an issue with the bulbs. The LED Angel Eyes on the other hand need the correct polarity.

Step 2. You could either tap (safer) or plug the prongs of the Morimoto Mini H1 into the High Beam H7 bulb connector. This would enable you to have both the projector high beam and reflector high beam on at the same time.

NOTE: You can skip this all together if you would like to have only the reflector be the high beam. Just take electrical tape and prevent the connectors from touching any metal.
